Get Weather
01.

overview.

Get Weather is a sleek, lightweight web application that provides instant weather updates for cities around the globe. Built with a focus on simplicity and speed, it allows users to check current conditions, temperature, humidity, and wind speed with a single search.

This project served as an exploration of third-party API integration and modern frontend practices. I utilized the OpenWeatherMap API for data and ipify for location detection, creating a seamless "local weather" experience on first load.

The interface is fully responsive, ensuring it looks great on mobile devices. It includes dynamic background changes based on the weather conditions, adding a delightful visual touch to the user experience.

  • 01Fetching accurate real-time data from third-party APIs.
  • 02Handling API rate limits and errors gracefully.
  • 03Ensuring responsiveness across devices.
03.

approach.

  • 01Cached API responses in local storage to reduce calls.
  • 02Implemented robust error handling for API failures.
  • 03Used Bootstrap grid system for a mobile-first design.
